Lori Hootman, Founding Partner
Lori Hootman is a licensed attorney who has dedicated her law practice to estate planning. A member of the Missouri Bar for over twenty years, Lori listens and works with her clients in order to create a custom estate plan that meets their specific needs and wishes. With her focus and breadth of knowledge in estate planning, Lori is able to provide clients with peace of mind that their estate planning goals will be satisfied. Prior to her exclusive estate planning focus, Lori worked at a prestigious St. Louis law firm as well as clerking at the Missouri Court of Appeals. Lori received her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law where she graduated with cum laude honors. Lori is honored to serve as a Board Member of the Mercy South Health Foundation and is a member of Women With A Mission South. When not focusing on her practice, Lori enjoys spending time outdoors -- hiking, kayaking, and camping with her husband and their four children.
Susan B. Schoen, Founding Partner
Susan Buckley Schoen is an estate planning attorney committed to providing clients with exceptional legal service. With more than 24 years of professional and legal experience, Susan advises clients on establishing an estate plan based on each client's unique situation and goals. She is committed to providing thoughtful and compassionate counsel to her clients, helping them navigate the entire process at ease. She was named as one of the top Estate Planning Attorneys in St. Louis by St. Louis Small Business Monthly in March of 2022.
Susan was born and raised in St. Louis. She graduated from St. Louis University School of Law, cum laude, in 1996. She practiced medical malpractice defense litigation before becoming an estate planning attorney. Prior to attending law school, Susan worked as a Pediatric ICU Nurse, and she brings that same empathy and commitment to service to her estate planning clients.
Outside the office, Susan enjoys spending time with her husband, three daughters and golden retriever, as well as playing tennis and golf.
